According to most experts, the Aitkin diet will never be a solution that you can use throughout your life for controlling your weight and reducing fat.

While the Aitkins diet plan will work to some extent, it is not the only method for losing weight and is definitely not the best method. Here’s why :

The Aitkin diet is designed to invoke a metabolic state called “Ketosis”.

Ketosis is a state in which carbohydrate levels in your body fall to such a low level that your muscles and tissues have no choice but to burn body fat for energy.

However, contrary to what would be suggested by the Aitkins diet, you do not need to remove all the carbohydrates from your body in order to burn fat.

All that is required to burn fat is a calorie deficit. A moderate reduction in carbohydrates in your body is often enough.

Contrary to what is suggested by the Aitkins diet, fat loss is just a question of balancing the right types of carbohydrates with lean proteins and good fats. But unfortunately, the food items present in the Aitkins diet food list do not fit this bill.

Furthermore, the Aitkins diet claims that you can eat as much as you want and that there are no limits to the amount of food you can eat. That’s completely false – you always have to be aware of how much you are eating.
